Excited to share that our very own Cindy King and Ed Page are volunteering their structural design expertise to restore the historic West Portal Stone of the Blue Ridge Tunnel—a recognized ASCE landmark. Together with the Tunnel Foundation, they’re turning architectural concepts into reality using precast concrete and Corten steel, with helpful hands from several plant crew members and support from Winchester’s boom truck.
The Harrisonburg and Salem plants will support fundraising efforts to help the Foundation move this restoration project forward. CP&P is honored to play a key role in preserving this remarkable piece of engineering history.
